What is the correct process for becoming a veterinarian?
Filed Under Higher Education (University +) | Comments Off
I’m not exactly a straight A student and I have a 2.7 GPA and I’m a senior. My counselor told me it was better for me to go to a community college first and then transfer to University of Florida to become a vet…but when do I apply? what should be my associates degree at the college? I need help from someone who actually became a veterinarian. Please Help!! thank you.

What would someone who is thinking about being a veterinarian major in?
Filed Under Higher Education (University +) | Comments Off

I’m a senior in high school, and I still don’t really know what I want to major in yet. I’m considering a career as a veterinarian though, because I really like animals, and I’m strong in science. What would someone is planning to become a veterinarian major in in college? My first thought is biology, but I’m not really sure.
Thanks

I’m in high school and I plan on studying veterinarian medicine. What type of internships should I apply too. In addition, what types of volunteer work should I be doing. I’m already applying to my local zoo, but they do not offer any internships that I’m interested in.

What type of person does it take to become a good veterinarian?
Filed Under Higher Education (University +) | Comments Off
I’m a junior in HS, and still a little unsure if this is what I should do. Everyone seems to be going in private practice, but I want to work in a hospital with a group of other vets so we can check and double check to minimize mistakes.
Does this mean I wouldn’t have the confidence to be a good veterinarian if I’m not as willing to work alone?
I’m afraid that, after all those years of college and vet school, I won’t be competent and will make mistakes that could cost lives.

What does a Vet Tech need to do to become a Veterinarian position?
Filed Under Higher Education (University +) | Comments Off
I’m interested in becoming a Veterinarian, I’m planning to enroll in LaGuardia Community College in the Spring so I can take their Veterinary Technology program. I was wondering what a Vet Tech would have to do to become a Veterinarian, how long it would take and where I can find a college for Animal Science, Biology or Zoology, (etc) that does not require a four year degree. Thank you!
