Hi! I am currently taking the Veterinary Assistant course through Penn Foster. I was wondering if a hiring veterinarian would look at that as a certifiable program and consider it as credible education or not since it is distance learning? If any Veterinarians could let me know as well that would be fantastic!! Thanks so much!

I would like input from small animal veterinarians AND large animal veterinarians—

How many hours per week (on average) do you spend doing work?
What are the conditions like?
Is the pay truely worth it?
What do you get paid (if you don’t want to get personal, then what was your STARTING salary?)
College courses, time, and $$?

I recall once turning in a box tortoise that was run over, to a local veterinary hospital, and the receptionist said that as long as I didn’t want it back, there would be no charge for treatment. Is there a law (in the US or elsewhere) mandating that veterinarians attempt to stabilize protected wildlife that are brought to them? Or is it more of a business ethic to do so, and not a requirement?

Hello,
someone brought to my attention that my kitten may be allergic to corn? She’s a bengal with some bowel issues.. her bengal had the same problem.. corn was the issue. i was just wondering how vets actually tell?
thanks muchly!
right now i feed her Royal Canin Sensitivity Dry and wet ID every couple of days. She loves water, so no worries about the dehydration!
