What about a government that allows vets to become homeless and does nothing?
Filed Under Military | 11 Comments
I’ve read stories of vets coming home from Iraq and ending up on the street. This seems to be true for Vietnam vets and those in World War II. It seems the government would at least help these people get into some kind of low income housing or rehabilitation and schooling. Where is the government when a vet needs help?

A question for dog psychologists or veterinarians?
Filed Under Dogs | 3 Comments
I have two labs (one yellow, one black) that are sisters that have been together since birth. These dogs are 2 1/2 yrs old and they always eat together. They tend to get into fights over toys or anything that is left in their fenced in area, even their dog bowls after they are done eating. I always feed them at the same time and I put their dog bowls at opposite ends of the fenced in area. Recenlty (about 3 wks) the yellow lab started picking up her dog bowl with her mouth, carrying it around, and then dumping the food out. She has done this every night. I have watched her and after she dumps the food out of her bowl she tries to steal the other dogs food. I figured it was a dominance thing, so I started putting her in a seperate smaller pen to seperate the dogs while they eat, but she still carries her bowl around and dumps out her food. She does eventually eat the food off of the ground, but not all of it.
Can anyone tell me why she does this and what I can do about it?

Should veterinarians and rangers interfere with wild animals? I am doing a research project on that question and i thought it would be cool to get the public opinion.
I dont know too much on officials dealing with animals, but i was thinking more if veternartians and rangers should make animal life better. (Not counting how human life has ruined a lot of habitat and resources)
